This is a beautiful antique plate marked LIMOGES FRANCE (white ware mark), LANTERNIER LIMOGES (decorating mark) and HAND PAINTED . The plate is signed on the front by LUC, a well known Limoges artist. The marks date the piece to ca.1890s . The plate is decorated with pears and green foliage on tree branches. The edge is gilded. The diameter of the plate is 8 1/2", and the condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. The gold is still pristine. A
