🖼️ Beautiful vintage "Hon. Mrs. Graham" mezzogravure after the famous portrait by Thomas Gainsborough (1727–1788).

✍️ This example appears to feature pencil signatures in the lower margins, adding to its appeal for collectors. The reverse retains the original Borin-Vivitone Corporation, Chicago identification label identifying the work as a mezzogravure after Gainsborough.

Condition:

One question before I would call it "pencil signed" in the title: Do the signatures look like actual graphite pencil (silvery gray) or are they brown/sepia ink? If you can confirm they're definitely graphite, I'd be comfortable advertising it as pencil signed. If so, this piece may be worth researching further because some Borin-Vivitone mezzogravures were issued in limited, artist-signed editions.
