Description:

The vintage Singer sewing machine was built in Wittenberge factory of Germany probably in the 1930s and was brought to America during the family move before WWII. The factory was converted to military facility in 1942 and given to the Prussians as reparations. No records were maintained on the serial numbers.

This sewing machine is in working condition. It has been retrofitted to work with an electric drive. However, if need, it can be still has an operating trundle mechanism just by changing which the belt is connected. See pictures.

The sewing cabinet has been kept in excellent condition. There are some old wooden spools of thread along with an additional foot for different stitches. Box has bobbins and tools along with a German sewing machine manual.

Dimensions are:

17" deep, 31" high and when sewing 45 1/2" wide (and 22 1/4" when closed)
